Bachelor of Pharmacy
The Bachelor of Pharmacy at CCP is a credit-based four-year program. The major topics studied at the undergraduate level include chemical, physical, pharmaceutical, Pharmacognostical, and pharmacological properties of drug substances and their application in therapeutics. The basics of pharmacy like biology and chemistry are introduced in the first year of pharmacy to lay down the foundation of the course as per PCI standards. The remaining three years are dedicated to higher levels of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy with specialized Clinical pharmacy studies. The curriculum is specially designed to give exposure to well-equipped laboratories, Hands-on training, Case studies, Group discussion, and Conferences to UG students.
Career options
There has been a huge increase in the global pharmaceutical industry in recent years causing endless opportunities for pharmacy students. B. Pharmacy is the qualifying exam for many government exams for reputed posts like drug inspectors and food inspectors. Graduates can also work in the private sector as Pharmacists, Drug regulatory in charge, Quality Control inspectors, Pharmaceutical marketing heads, and production managers. Students with great entrepreneurial skills also have infinite prospects with increasing advantages in various business models available.
Eligibility
Candidates shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/ central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects individually.
