Chandigarh College of Pharmacy (CCP), a unit of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) under the aegis of Sri Guru Ram Das Educational Society (Regd.) was established beneath the dynamic leadership of Mr. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman and Mr. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President. CCP, Landran since its inception in 2005 has become a globally recognized institution with a mission to excel in Pharmaceutical Education and Research. CCP is affiliated to I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. Currently, CCP is offering courses viz B. Pharmacy (4 Years), M. Pharmacy (2 Years) in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology specializations as well as Pharm. D (6 Years) course. CCP has been conferred five times with the award of "Best Private Pharmacy College in Punjab" by reputed organizations. CCP has signed MoUs in addition to collaborations with several national & international companies/universities. CCP is recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CCP has a special research advisory board for efficient conduct of research activities. With a vision to provide quality education, CCP is well equipped with modern information and communication technology (ICT) based classrooms, State-of-the-art laboratories, digital library, herbal garden, animal cell culture laboratory and experimental animal house facility duly approved by Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), New Delhi. In addition, Central Instrumentation Laboratory (CIL) at CCP is operational with sophisticated instruments like High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Attenuated total reflectance (ATR), Particle size analyzer, Ultrasonic Homogenizer, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, and Lyophilizer. CCP ensures to take initiatives to familiarize students with working environment of pharmaceutical industry by arranging industrial visits. To foster the students to express their unique thoughts, ideas, feelings and values, CCP works on the principle of “Friend - Philosopher – Guide”, where each faculty member is appointed as a Class Counselor for a set of students. Further, the Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) at CGC plays an imperative role in shaping up the career of students from orientation programs, internships, projects, summer training to their final job placements. Our endeavor is to assist students accomplish their career goals through the best job opportunities. The center takes on the liability of organizing in-campus and off campus interviews for student training and placement.
