Medicinal Garden Visit

Use of herbs as medicine is an inherent part of Indian culture. To get a knowledge about potency of herbs as medicine, a subject Pharmacognosy is studied in the curriculum of Pharmacy, designed by Pharmacy Council of India. In this subject student gets to explore information about traditional uses, important phytoconstituents, pharmacognostic studies, pharmacological activities, marketed products of these medicinal plants. Chandigarh College of Pharmacy arranged a visit to Botanical Garden, Chandigarh 160014 for B. Pharmacy Semester 4 students. The students got a chance to walk in vicinity with nature to explore the subject Pharmacognosy in more detail. This visit will help them to get in depth knowledge and vivid perception of the subject.
