World Planting Day

Continuing with its tradition of preserving the environment and having eco-friendly activities, the “World Planting Day” was organized by Department of Pharmacognosy, conducted in the campus of Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran on 21st March,2023 to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet earth in the presence of Respected Director, Dr. Saurabh Sharma, HOD, Dr. SupriyaAgnihotri, Dr. Anjoo Kamboj, Dr. RupinderSodhi and guest of the day Dr. Rohini Sharma and other faculty members.

The program was started with the plantation of the herbal trees in the herbal garden of Chandigarh College of Pharmacy. On this occasion, the expert talk was also held in CCP auditorium by the keynote speaker Dr. Rohini Sharma, who is currently designated as Director in RohiniBiocare Research, Himachal Pardesh. Dr. Rohini shared her views on "Indian Herbal Industry-Current status and sustainability".

At the end of the session, MoU between RohiniBiocare Research and Chandigarh College of Pharmacy was signed by Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director, CCP and Dr. Rohini Sharma, Director, RohiniBiocare Research. The MoU is intended to recognize the general basis for a cooperative and a collaborative working relationship between the CCP and RohiniBiocare Research.
