Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran in collaboration with Cardioversion and IIC hosted a two days International Conference on “Comprehensive Integrated Clinical Prospects of Drug Research and Disease Management” connecting experts and scholars from across the globe to discuss the latest trends and advancements in the field. The conference was aimed to provide an opportunity to reach the largest assemblage of participants from the pharmaceutical sciences community both from academia as well as the pharmaceutical industry. The event was graced by the worthy Chief guest Dr. Sandeep Tirath Laroia Professor Radiology, University of Iowa College of Medicine, and Guest of Honor, Dr. Arun Chandan, Regional Director National Medicinal Plants Board Ministry of AYUSH. The event started with the welcome address by honorable campus director, Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha and Director-Principal, CCP, followed by felicitation of various dignitaries from different Pharmaceutical sectors.

Eminent speaker Dr. Kishore Gupta (Consultant CTVS, Marengo CIMS Hospital, Gujarat) delivered a comprehensive presentation on Organ Donation- Facts & Myths. This session underscored the survival rates of transplant patients. This was followed by second session on Broad Overview of Hematological Disorders in Young & Elderly (Preventive Measures and Awareness) by Dr. Mukesh Chawla (Senior Consultant & HoD, Hematology, Sohana Hospital, Mohali). Further on Dr. Deepak Puri (Senior Director CTVS, Max Healthcare, Mohali) speaker imparted his knowledge on “Technological Advances in Surgical Management of Cardiovascular Diseases”. Dr. Pratiksha Gandhi (Founder & CEO CoCardio Inc. California, USA) shared her knowledge on Holistic Heart Care: The Synergy of ECP Therapy and Lifestyle Interventions. It was followed by poster and oral presentations by students from various esteemed Pharmaceutical institutes.

The second day of the International Conference commenced with the welcoming of Chief Guest, Dr. D.K.Satsangi, national and international experts. Firstly, eminent speaker, Dr. D.K.Satsangi delivered a talk on Homografts in cardiac surgery” followed by session on “A Therapeutic Perspective on Epi-Drugs in Cardiovascular Diseases: Insights on Epigenetic Regulatory Mechanisms, Challenges and Promises by Himanshi Bakshi (Technical Associate: Diagnostics R&D, Convergys Healthcare, Mohali). Following that, there were sessions on cardiac surgery, cardiotoxicity by Dr.Amitabh Satsangi and Dr. Jatinder Lamba. Dr. Rajesh Saxena delivered a talk on “Diabetes Management and Technology. Additionally, Dr. Rukhsar from the PG Department of Zoology at D.A.V. College, Chandigarh, explored the antimicrobial properties found in tissue extracts of the horticultural pest Ariophanta Interrupta, a terrestrial mollusk. Ms.Aparna Joshi presented her knowledge on in-vitro evaluation of cellular senescence in C-Kit+ve. Dr. Jatinder Lamba discussed how pharmacogenomic scores can effectively personalize the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia. Ms Swati Gautam contributed valuable insights on cart-T cell Therapy associated cardiotoxicities and management. This was succeeded by a session on evaluation of the Hepatoprotective Effect of Stephanie Gaba Rhizome extract on CCl4 Induced Hepatotoxicity by Ms. Manshi Chauhan. Dr. Jitender Katyar (Director, Parexel International India Pvt. Ltd) delivered a talk on Pharmacovigilance. Dr. Tanya Bhardwaj interacted with students and discussed the role of AI in cardiovascular disease. There were sessions on role of Yoga Therapy in cardiovascular disease, by Ms. Dimpi Kapoor and Ms. Sheetal Tripathi. Dr. Rachna K Singh and Dr. Jyoti Dongre Rao (CEO JV EDTECH, Medovation) shared their experiences and accentuated the importance of Cardiovascular Health through their expert sessions. There were sessions on Emotional intelligence and Stress management by Ms. Jyoti Solaria (Mindfulness Coach), Dr. Nikita Goyal and Dr. Deepak Puri.

The conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from various Pharmaceutical institutes. The conference marked its end with delightful cultural performances by the students and prize distribution of winners of poster presentation. At the end of day, vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Supriya Agnihotri, HOD, Chandigarh College of Pharmacy.
