Orientation Program
Chandigarh College of Pharmacy (CCP), CGC Landran, successfully organized Orientation and Induction Program from 22nd July to 29th July 2026 for the newly admitted students of B.Pharmacy, M.Pharmacy, and Pharm.D. The program was designed to warmly welcome the fresh entrants, familiarize them with the institutional environment, and provide them with valuable academic, professional, and personal development insights.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director along with esteemed Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and distinguished dignitaries, whose inspiring presence and words encouraged students to pursue their aspirations with confidence and determination. Director Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Rupinder Kaur Sodhi, addressed the freshers, highlighting academic guidelines, institutional policies, and the importance of discipline, lifelong learning, and active participation in campus activities. The orientation familiarized students with the college's academic framework, research facilities, industry collaborations, and placement opportunities.
On 23rd July, students introduced themselves, fostering interaction and camaraderie among peers. The session was followed by an inspiring address by Dr. Supriya Agnihotri, Head of the Department, who acquainted students with the department, academic expectations, and the diverse career opportunities in pharmaceutical sciences. The students also benefited from an engaging Alumni Interaction, where alumni Mr. Raghav (Area Sales Manager, Meril Life Science Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Dikshant (Consultant, ATACANA Group Inc.) and Mr. Piyush (Patient Safety Associate, Paraxcel) shared their academic experiences and professional achievements, motivating the newcomers to strive for excellence. Informative sessions by Dr. Gagandeep Bhullar, Director Student Welfare & Alumni affairs, CGC Landran and the Ms. Sapna, IQAC Member, CGC landran highlighted student support services, quality initiatives, and institutional best practices. The day concluded with an enriching interaction with the Dr.Ashok Kumar, Director Academics, CGC Landran, who encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities available during their academic journey.
The third day, 24th July, brief introduction of Department of International Affairs in Chandigarh group of colleges was delivered by Dr. Pallavi. She explained about various international programs, internships, grants via which students get exposed to the whole wide world in our college. An insightful session by Mr. Sonu Bajaj, entrepreneur provided students with a practical perspective on current pharmaceutical industry trends and expectations. Students were further inspired through an entrepreneurial session by Ms. Gowri Jayamurugan, (Founder of Gowriz Skincare Pvt. Ltd.,) emphasizing innovation, leadership, and startup opportunities in healthcare. The day also included a lecture on Human Values by Ms. Mehak and Dr. Sachin Neekhra from Chandigarh College of Pharmacy followed by an inspiring motivational session by Manjula Sularia, (Director, Prasanchetas Foundation) that encouraged students to cultivate confidence, discipline, and a positive outlook towards their academic and professional goals.
On 27th July, students attended sessions on the Central Library by Dr. Renu Oberoi, Chief Librarian, CGC landran where they were introduced to the learning resources and digital facilities available on campus. Sessions by the Head CCs, ERP Coordinator, Ms. Ritika Kalia, and Mr. Mandeep Saini from the Training and Placement Program (TPP) familiarized students with academic support systems, digital platforms, and placement preparation initiatives. The day concluded with an exciting Talent Hunt, where students enthusiastically showcased their artistic, cultural, and creative abilities, strengthening bonds with their peers and faculty members.
The program continued on 28th July with an informative session by the RISE Department, delivered by Dr. Dinesh Arora highlighting research, innovation, and entrepreneurial opportunities available to students. A session by a Dr. Gurleen, Psychologist, focused on mental well-being, stress management, and emotional resilience, followed by an interactive meeting with subject teachers to address students' academic queries. Students also participated in a session on the Importance of Yoga, conducted by Capt. Vinod Kumar, Head – Sports, CGC Landran, emphasizing the significance of physical fitness and holistic well-being. The day concluded with recreational activities and the Valedictory Session, celebrating the successful completion of the induction program.
The following day, on 29th July 2026, the students, accompanied by teachers, visited CP Mall to familiarize themselves with local services and markets.
The Orientation and Induction Program 2026 proved to be an enriching and memorable experience for the new students. Through a series of academic, motivational, professional, and recreational activities, the program successfully acquainted them with the institutional ecosystem while inspiring them to embark on a journey of learning, innovation, and excellence. The faculty members extended their heartfelt wishes to the students for a rewarding and successful academic career at Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, CGC Landran.
