International Conference On “Industry Driven Pharmaceutical Education and Research: Current Trends and Future Prospects
Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran in collaboration with Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) hosted a two days International Conference on “Industry Driven Pharmaceutical Education and Research: Current Trends and FutureProspects-2022" connecting experts and scholars from across the globe to discuss the latest trends and advancements in the field. The conference was aimed to provide an opportunity to reach the largest assemblage of participants from the pharmaceutical sciences community both from academia as well as the pharmaceutical industry. The event was graced by the worthy chief guest Dr. P.L.Sharma, Professor Emeritus PGIMER, and Guest of Honor Dr. Dulal Panda, Director NIPER, Mohali. The event started with the welcome address by honorable campus director, Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha followed by felicitation of various dignitaries from different pharmaceutical sectors. Eminent speakers Dr. Tamas Sohajda, CarboHyde, Hungary, Dr. Yogeshwar Bachhav, Germany, Mr. Kapil Dhiman, Assistant Drug Controller, Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Rajesh Bhalla, Quality Head Manager, Sun Pharma, Dr. Prahalad Singh Mann, Quality compliance Director, Reckitt Benekiser, Dr. R. K. Singh, Vice President, Morepen Laboratories Ltd, Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Vice President, Aimil Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Vipul Gupta, Head – Regulatory Affairs, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Narinder Verma, Project Manager – Global External, London, UK, Dr. Neeraj Fuloria, Professor, AIMST, Malaysia shared their experiences and emphasized on different topics such as research, innovation through their expert talks. Dr. Gulshan Bansal, President APTI Punjab State and Dr. Suresh Thakkar, Secretary, APTI Punjab State also shared their valuable insights during the event.
The conference was attended by more than 500 delegates from various pharmaceutical institutes. Plenary lectures and discussions were delivered by national and international experts followed poster and oral presentations by the students. The conference marked its end with delightful cultural performances by the students and vote of thanks by Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Director, Chandigarh College of Pharmacy.
