National Pharmacy Week

Chandigarh College of Pharmac, Landran, in association with IIC celebrated National Pharmacy week. Several activities were scheduled to spread information about the Pharmacy profession under the theme “Role of Artificial intelligence in drug discovery and development”. Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Principal, addressed students and make them aware about the responsibility of the Pharmacist towards society.

On this occasion, A Medical camp was organized to aware society importance of healthy lifestyle. This camp was conducted by Pharm. D fourth year students and was coordinated by Dr. Sonali and Dr. Harpreet Kaur Boporai. After that Quiz competition was organized in which students of B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy had participated with great enthusiasm. The Quiz content was prepared and presented by Ms. Monika Sharma, Assistant Professor. Team of Sahil, Priti and Genius Singh topped the contest.

On 18th October, synopsis presentation by B Pharmacy 7th semester students was conducted in order to evaluate their performance in Project work. Students presented their synopsis and questions were asked by Supervisors named Ms.Ritika Kalia, Assistant Professor and Ms.Piyali, Assistant Professor.

On 19th October, Students from B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy and Pharm D participated in poster presentation and expressed their creative ideas on the Artificial intelligence: Role in drug discovery. Students were divided into six groups. Khushboo and Ankush stood first. Varun, Sneha, Smile, Subhoo Shree remained second and Girdhar and Tashu stood third. The faculty coordinators for poster presentation were Dr. Jyoti Singh, Ms. Shaveta Sharma, Ms. Piyali, Ms. Deepika Sharma and Mr. Sunny.

On 20th October, an event named ideathon was conducted wherein students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. The faculty coordinators for ideathon were Dr. Sandhya Jaiswal and Mr. Piyush Kaushik. Participants presented idea of using AI in personalized medicines and new device for peritoneal administration of drugs. All participants were judged by honorable Director Principal. Rudraksh, Amrit & Tanu grabbed 1st position while Subhoshree scored second position. On last day staff enrichment activity was conducted and winners were bestowed with certificates.
