World Entrepreneurship Day-2023

With the aim of creating awareness for entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership among the students, a session on the occasion of World Entrepreneurship Day was organized by Pharmacy Department of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran. Firstly, Director Principal Dr. Saurabh Sharma addressed the guests, faculty members and students present and gave an interesting insight on entrepreneurship. He briefly explained the students about the difference between business and entrepreneurship. This was followed by a session by Dr. Ruchi Singla from the RISE department of Chandigarh group of colleges on startups. She elaborated on various collaborations, MOUs and various incubation facilities available for students. The second session was by an eminent entrepreneur Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director, Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, who shared his valuable experience with students and made them aware about five main initiatives of Government of India like Startup India, Standup India, Digital India and Skill India. He motivated the students by citing various examples to develop their interest in entrepreneurship. He also emphasized the importance of entrepreneurs in shaping economy and creating a more dynamic and diverse business landscape. It was a very informative and excellent session. This was followed by an address by Dr. Munish Jindal, Founder & CEO-HoverRobotix. He shared his journey from his childhood to becoming an entrepreneur with particular interest in artificial intelligence and robotics. Moreover, he encouraged the students to identify their passion and transform it into a successful venture. This was followed by last session on alumini interaction by our 2015 alumini, Mr Gursimran Singh, an entrepreneur who shared his valuable experience with students. It was very interactive and inspiring session. At the end of session, Dr. Rupinder Sodhi delivered vote of thanks.
