World Plantation Day held on 21st March, 2025 organized by Department of Pharmacognosy

Continuing with its tradition of preserving the environment and having eco-friendly activities, the “World Plantation Day” was organized by Department of Pharmacognosy, conducted in the campus of Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran on 21st March, 2025 in the presence of Director Principal, Dr. Rupinder Sodhi, HOD, Dr. Supriya Agnihotri, and other faculty members.

On this occasion, the “Best out of Waste” competition saw participants transformed discarded eco-friendly materials into beautiful, functional items, promoting the idea of reusing and recycling. Meanwhile, the floral decoration competition allowed students to showcase their artistic talents while highlighting the importance of plants and flowers in our ecosystem. The winners of the competitions, including the "Best Out of Waste" and "Floral Decorations," were honoured with certificates in recognition of their creativity and efforts toward environmental sustainability. In the end, the event was a success in raising awareness about environmental issues and the need to protect and preserve nature for future generations.
